GC Fixings Ltd is a family run home improvement business based at Copdock near Ipswich, working as uPVC installation specialists across Suffolk and Essex. The company is owned by Gareth Canham, who has over 25 years of experience specialising in roofline and double glazing installation. The way the business is run is unusual and worth knowing about before you book anyone. Gareth provides the free quotation himself, carries out the survey himself, and carries out all of the installations himself. There is no handover between a salesperson who quotes, a surveyor who measures and a fitting team who turn up on the day having never seen the property. For a customer that means the person who told you what the job involved is the person standing on the ladder doing it, and nothing is lost in between.Roofline is the core of the work. Fascias, soffits, guttering and downpipes in uPVC protect a house against the constant weathering that British weather delivers, and replacing tired timber boards with uPVC removes the repainting and the rot that come with them. This is the area the firm considers itself a specialist in.Cladding is the second strand. GC Fixings supplies and installs both uPVC cladding and James Hardie Plank cladding in a range of colours, which covers customers wanting a low maintenance finish and those after the look of painted timber without the upkeep.Windows and doors make up the third. The company supplies and fits uPVC window and door products in a variety of colours and designs, drawing on Gareth’s double glazing background. Conservatories are the fourth, again in uPVC and again available in a range of colours and designs, with the firm positioning itself on quality at a competitive price. The business supplies and installs only high quality products, and it attributes its run of satisfied customers to that combined with a high level of customer service. It is a TrustATrader member and describes itself as highly recommended, which for a one man specialist operation working on reputation across two counties is the thing that keeps the diary full.If you are weighing up roofline, cladding, windows, doors or a conservatory in Suffolk or Essex, the quotation and the survey cost nothing.
