Colston Roofing is a Glasgow based roofing contractor specialising in roof replacements and roof repairs across Central Scotland, with more than 25 years of experience behind it. The company is registered in Scotland under company number SC827775 and operates from Bishopbriggs.

Repairs cover broken tiles, leaks, water damage, storm related problems and chimney work, and the firm is clear that roof damage does not always mean a full replacement. Where a roof has reached the end of its life, full replacements are carried out using high quality, weather resistant and warranty backed materials. Beyond that, the service list takes in slating and tiling, pitched roofing, flat roofing and flat roof repair, EPDM rubber roofs, garage roof installation and repair, chimney repointing, repair and full removal, and fascias, soffits and gutters.

One thing that sets the firm apart in Glasgow specifically is its use of drone surveys. The city’s housing stock is dominated by Victorian tenements with shared roofs, common closes and stone built structures, where access is restricted and the consequences of a wrong assessment fall on several households at once. Rather than putting up scaffolding just to find out what is wrong, the company maps the condition of a roof by drone first, identifying slate damage, flashing failures, chimney deterioration and flat roof membrane problems before a single tile is lifted. That avoids unnecessary access costs and, just as importantly, avoids later disputes between neighbours over what the actual problem was.

The process is straightforward. An initial call or WhatsApp message is followed by a free roof survey booked at a time that suits, then a written no obligation quote explaining what is needed and why, then the work itself, and finally an inspection before the team leaves. The firm makes a point of not sending a sales representative to generate a number. Finance is available from 14.9 per cent, spreading the cost of a roof over three to ten years.

Colston Roofing is led by directors Ryan and Dario, supported by a team of roofers, and most of its work comes through word of mouth. The values it works to are integrity, expertise, reliability and respect: the price stays as quoted, timeframes are kept, and tidiness, noise levels and conduct on site are treated as part of the job.

Coverage runs across Glasgow, taking in the West End, the Southside, the East End and the city centre, along with Bearsden, Milngavie, Bishopbriggs, Cambuslang, Newton Mearns, Rutherglen, Paisley and East Kilbride, and reaches further into Edinburgh, Fife and Dumfries.
